Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V camera – Features, specs and price revealed

Gadget Herald: The latest digital camera offered by Sony, is the Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V, and it has been revealed with all its features, specifications and price. It technological marvel offered by the Japanese electronics manufacturer as it comes with inbuilt GPS and can do wireless transfer images and videos through TransferJet.

It has a 10 megapixel camera with 10X zoom, which gives crystal clear image capture, and has been used by some of the top professional photographers around the world. There are some drawbacks, which pulls this camera behind others, as it trails to the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS and the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS5, when sharpness and distortion levels are compared.

Even thought the Lab results only depict half of the story about the Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V, it can be seen that the image quality of the camera in low light is way superior to others, even without flash. Battery life of the camera is quite good, and for every charge it will provide around 310 shots, which is quite impressive though. The camera has been priced at $350 as of June 2010.
