LG G Watch to be released in June 2014 in Europe

South Korean tech giant LG announced the release of its first smartwatch – the G Watch – in March 2014. The upcoming device will run on Google’s Android Wear, which is a software project intended to extend Android to wearable devices. The new smartwatch by LG will be available in Europe in June 2014 for EUR 199.

When LG unveiled the device, it did not provide too many details about the roll-out, but said that G Watch will be launched during the second quarter of 2014. A French publication stated that the company’s G Watch will be launched in France, but it is still not clear if the device will be launched in other countries as well. LG confirmed previously that the G Watch will be released in the UK and will be priced below GBP 180 and will be available before July 2014.

Meanwhile, LG is yet to reveal the complete list of specifications of the device, but said that it will have a 1.65-inch display with a 280 x 280 pixel resolution, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of inbuilt storage. In recent times, the company unveiled a few details of the G Watch on its dedicated website for the wearable device.

An image posted on the official website showed that the LG G Watch will have many reminders and functions and maps but additional details are not yet revealed.
