Lenovo unveils Tab S8 at IFA in Berlin

In a bid to improve their tablet profile, Lenovo unveils Tab S8 at the IFA in Berlin.

Lenovo is committed to providing its users with the best tablets under 10 inches and this was reflected in the new Tab S8 that Lenovo unveiled at the IFA in Berlin on September 3, 2014. Priced at $199, the Lenovo Tab S8 offers much more than its price demands. The super thin tablet is 8 inches and is powerful enough to challenge Samsung tabs and Apple’s iPads at this price.

The tablet will be running Google’s Android operating system.

Specifications:

  • Size: 8 inches
  • Weight: 0.65 pounds
  • Thickness: 0.31 inches
  • Display: 1200 x 1920 full HD display
  • Operating System: Android v4.4 KitKat
  • 4G: Yes
  • Processor: quad-core Intel Atom
  • RAM: 2 GB
  • Internal Storage: 16 GB
  • Camera: Rear – 8 megapixel, Front – 1.6 megapixel
  • USB port: Yes

The Tab S8 will be running a skinned version of Android v4.4 KitKat which means it will not be receiving automatic updates from Google, so users will have to wait till Android L is launched.

The Tab S8 is not the only device Lenovo launched at the IFA in Berlin. The Chinese tech company also launched a gaming desktop and laptop.

The Y70 Touch is a touch display gaming laptop that is powered by an i7 Intel processor and a 4GB Nvidia GTX 860.

The gaming desktop, Erazer X315 is powered by a quad-core AMD Kaveri and an AMD R9 series graphic card.
