Excitement grows as Google Nexus 6 packed with Android Lollipop to launch today.

Today, November 12, 2014, the Google Nexus 6 will launch in the United States. The phone will come packed with Google’s new operating system, Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Nexus 6 was available for preorder on the Google Play Store from October 29, 2014. The device will also be available on contract from US network carriers like AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile.

The Nexus 6 is the most expensive Nexus device with an off-contract price of $649 – 32 GB. The 64 GB model will retail for $699. Google had previously announced that the Nexus 6 will restock every Wednesday, which pointed out towards a Wednesday launch of the device. Recently, network carriers announced the prices and availability for the Nexus. T-Mobile announced that the device will be available for preorder on its website from today.

For T-Mobile, users will have to shell out $27.08 per month for 24 months. None of the US carriers have announced what model of the Nexus 6, so it would be safe to assume the prices announced are applicable only to the 32 GB version.

Google announced the new Nexus device on October 16, 2014. This time, the tech giant has partnered with Motorola to produce the hardware for its flagship phone. The Nexus 6 will sport a 5.96-inch screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It will feature a better 13 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. There is a 32 and 64 GB version of the phone.
