Xiaomi partners with Uber to deliver smartphones

Chinese based handset manufacturer Xiaomi has joined hands with taxi app Uber. The users will not be able to order the latest Mi Note smartphone by Xiaomi and the gadget will be delivered within minutes.

Meanwhile Xiaomi is all set to launch its latest gadget online on July 28, 2015. And the Uber service will now be available for the users in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur only. The users will have to pay through their Uber accounts and a brand new Mi Note will be dispatched immediately. The information on the development was given by Hugo Barra the vice president of Xiaomi international.
The recent development has brought together the world most valuable start-ups. Uber is valued at an estimated US $50 billion while Xiaomi is valued at about US$46 billion. Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi, in recent times has been moving quickly towards expanding in potential markets.
The company recently launched the Redmi 2 smartphone in Brazil and has targeted the US and Europe in May and will begin with the beta launch of a new online store to test its brand appeal among the Western markets. Xiaomi has also been expanding its product list and is all set to launch two new smart devices. One will be a smart water purifier for home use and a pair of running shoes with built in sensors.
