Google Pixel Smartphone a Boom in Smartphone Market

Search engine giant Google launched its Pixel smartphone in October 2016 that comes as a breath of fresh air in the market that currently dominated by Apple’s iPhone. Google presents its latest smartphone with innovative technology which can attract users who prefer Android.

 

The new Pixel has a 5 inch Full AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4 and is powered by a 2.15 GHz 64 bit quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and an operating system with the latest Android 7.1 Nougat. The device runs on 4 GB RAM with 32/128 GB storage with no micro SD support. More feautrs of the device include a 12.3 mega pixel camera with f/2.0, 1.55 pixels, optical stabilization and unlimited Google photo storage.
The Pixel has an 8 mega pixel front camera, fingerprint sensor, USB-C support, NFC, 3.5 mm headphone jack, 2,777 mAh battery with fast charging support. The Vice president of Product management at the company, Brian Rakowski has described it as the ‘best camera’ on a smartphone and has also pointed the phone’s score on DxO Mark of 89 which is higher than that of the latest phones from Apple and Samsung. Reports say that the 12.3 mega pixel rear camera on the Google Pixel can record 4K videos at 30 fps and 1080p video at 120 fps. The camera also features video stabilization allowing smooth video even when the user is moving. This means that camera also has the capability to take good pictures under low light circumstances.
The phone does not have a micro SD support but has provided an unlimited storage of full-resolution pictures and videos. The device also comes with a Google Assistance Feature which is a part of the company’s artificial intelligence goal. The Pixel has a 2,770 battery and Google claims that a 15 minute charge will give the user 7 hours of use.
