Apple Reveals Best of 2016 Apps, Books, Games, Movies and TV Shows!

The release of Year Enders is a common affair in the month of December. On Tuesday 6th, the Apple, Best of 2016 list for the iTunes Store, App Store and iBook Store was released soon after Google Play released their Best of 2016 list.

Best iPhone Apps 2016

The photo editing app know as Prisma and the highly successful real-time multiplayer game Clash Royale were the best iPhone App and Game of the Year in that order. The swipe game app Reigns and Face-shifting app MSQRD were the second best apps of 2016.

Best iPad Apps 2016

‘Severed’, an award winning game was named iPad’s Game of the year 2016 while SketchBook Motion was the best iPad app.

Best Apple Watch/ Apple TV Apps 2016

Farming game Field Day was named game of the year, as MySwim Pro took home the app of the year award. On Apple TV, Riptide was the best game while the Twitter’s tvOS app was the top app.

The Best of Apple Music 2016

Canadian singer and rapper Drake took home the best song for “One Dance” off the best album of 2016 “Views”. Apple also released a special Apple Music playlist featuring 100 tracks with songs from Twenty One Pilots, The Chainsmokers, Justin Bieber and more.

The Best of iTunes Movie Store 2016

Apple narrowed down this section by the genre with “Moonlight,” “Deadpool,” “American Honey,” “Weiner,” “Sausage Party,” “Sing Street,” “Kubo” and “The Two Strings” and “La La Land” taking home awards.

Apple top TV shows of 2016

This link includes “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars,” “O.J.: Made in America,” “Atlanta,” “The People V. O.J. Simpson,” “This is Us,” and “The Americans” among others.

The Best books in iBook Store 2016

The top books in this category included “Evicted,” “Dark Money,” “Homegoing,” “Moonglow,” “Sweetbitter,” “If I was Your Girl,” among others.
