LG G7 ThinQ smartphone to compete with smartphones in terms of brightness

The latest flagship offering by LG surely stands out in front of its rivals in terms of a brighter display and the boombox facility. The boombox facility means to make separate speakers unnecessary. LG G7 ThinQ has a 6.1 inch screen and looks somewhat similar to that of the iPhone X. However, the users of the smartphone can alter the surrounding graphics so as to help the dead space.

There was a time when LG used to be one of the top three Android phone manufacturers, but the position of the company dropped in recent times. The company had earlier attempted to release a model that split apart in new hardware. But the idea proved to be a failure two years back and the critics called LG’s ideas inconventional. Ben Staton, from technology consultancy Canalys said, “LG remains pretty competitive in the mid-range, but at the premium end its smartphone strategy completely let it down”.

Then came the G5 which also proved to be a flop. In 2017, the G6 was launched, which had a premium price but had an outdated processor. Even the mobile networks have been dropping LG’s phones from their ranges due to the product failures. Such a problem has been faced in Germany and UK where most of the handsets were sold by the operators.

This time LG has claimed that the LCD screen of the LG G7 ThinQ stands out in the competition based on the fact that it can go up to 1,000 nits of brightness. Here one nit represents the brightness of a single candle. The advantage can range from having a high dynamic range video. The HDR can make the vibrant images possible and more details in the picture’s shadow can be seen. Another benefit is that it becomes easier to see what is displayed when the phone is displayed under bright sunlight. The makers of the phone have avoided to make it more brighter so that it does not put stress on the battery.
