Vivo unveils full-display fingerprint 5G smartphone APEX 2019

While 5G network is yet to be commercialized, smartphone companies are already getting ready their 5G smartphones for the future consumption of the gadget enthusiasts. Vivo is ready with its 5G device and is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset and will be available in 256 GB and 512 GB storage variants with 12 GB RAM equipped with AI. The Chinese smartphone maker has unveiled its APEX 2019 on January 24, 2019 which has a full display fingerprint scanning technology with USB ports replaced by magnetic power connectors “MagPorts” that will enable charging and data transfer.

The device will be available in 256 GB and 512 GB storage variants with 12 GB RAM and will be equipped with the Artificial Intelligent assistant Jovi. Spark Ni, Senior Vice President of Vivo said, “Offering consumers a glimpse into the future of smartphone design and development and with ‘super uni-body’ design and full-display fingerprint scanning technology among several other breakthrough features, ‘APEX 2019’ is a truly exceptional smartphone”.

The physical buttons on the new concept device have been replaced with Touch Sense which is a technology that will bring capacitive touch and pressure sensing technologies together. The company has also said that the programming and logic software have been carefully designed as the pressure sensors have been designed to tell if a user is pressing the frame and the capacitive touch will be able to determine its position while providing extra sensitive accuracy.

The Apex 2019 has also been designed that has the ability to turn its display in to a speaker by using Body SoundCasting technology. The Body SoundCasting tech helps to transform the entire display of the smartphone in to a speaker through the screen vibration function and it will avoid the need of a speaker grill. With the upcoming smartphone, the Chinese company aims to pioneer in 5G technology standardization empowered technologies like the AI, Internet Of Things , Augmented reality and Virtual Reality.
