American consumer electronics company Sonos is known for its smart speakers that it develops and manufactures. The company is now reportedly working on its first headphones which are expected to be wireless as well as high-end. The audio device is expected to have smart assistance and a focus on top tier audio performance. There are possibilities that the company is producing a high-end wireless headphones and a recent report has suggested that it would be the first time the pioneer of multi-room audio has ventured in to powerful speakers for in-ear audio.

Not much details have been given out about the upcoming device but reports from a leading daily have said that the headphones will have multiple virtual assistants that would function similarly to the audio makers’s Sonos Beam and the Sonos One Speakers. It would also focus on competing with Sony, Bose, Apple and Sennheiser with its offering of high-end audio performance.

At the same time the music enthusiasts should not expect the device to be unveiled any time soon but reports say that nit can be priced around $300. The price range is expected to be accurate as it will put the device in to direct competition with the Sony WH-1000XM3, Bose QuietComfort35II and the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless. The three headphones that are named are absolutely dominated by the high-end wireless space.

There is another problem of introducing a pair of wireless over-ear headphones by next year as Apple is also looking out for the same time frame to release its rumoured over-ear headphones along with its second generation Apple AirPods 2. The two devices by Apple are much anticipated devices and there are already a lot of expectations from the upcoming gadgets without the need of Sonos entering the segment. More information about the Sonos headphones are expected to be out in the near future and is surely one of the most anticipated devices.
