Movie goers can now book their tickets online with the help of the Duplex artificial intelligence guidance. Google had teased about the service since many months and has also gone through many tests before it is all set to launch. The Android users will now be able to book movie tickets with the help of Assistant on their phones. The users just have to ask the assistant to browse through the show timings and availability of tickets. The Assistant will help to automate most of the booking process by filing forms and fill the fields while payments.

The Duplex – assisted online bookings service was first showed off at the I/O and is available at more than 70 theatre and ticket agent websites. It also has various partners including Fadango, AMC and MJR in the US and Odeon in the UK. The Duplex makes use of the data that is saved on Google Chrome to pre-fill the personal information while booking online movie tickets. It also analyses the screens and delivers its prompts to the users which makes it easy for them to respond and interact with the website for a brief section.

The tickets can be then bought with the help of a card or other payment source that has been linked to Google Pay. The new booking process was tested by the search engine in September and had found some hints that had linked it back to Duplex. At present the feature is available for Android users through Assistant or Chrome.

The search engine has also assured that it is planning to launch the service for booking car rentals in near future. The service was first started in 2018 to book reservations at restaurants. Duplex basically is a point-to point communication system that has been composed for two or more parties that can connect to each other, both ways. They allow simultaneous communications between parties.
