Search engine giant Google has stopped selling its Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL smartphones . The smartphones are officially not available and when the users try to click on the official product page of the phone, it redirects them to the Google Store homepage. On the homepage, the search engine says that it has sold out its inventory. However, the smartphone will remain available through some of the third party retailers like Walmart and Best Buy.

Both the devices by Google have been popular among the smartphone lovers and were mostly popular for its sharp camera pictures, huge displays and a no-nonsense design. The device was launched in 2018, but the camera of the phone continues to be one of the best in the market. The only thing that did not work for the smartphone was lack of customer’s interest and slow sales when compared to the other smartphone manufacturers like Samsung and Apple, who continue to dominate in the smartphone market.

At the same time, this does not mean that the owners of the Pixel 3 will suffer due to lack of support. Google has promised that it will provide the software support till October 2021. This means that the Pixel 3 and the 3XL might soon expect to get upgrades to its Android 11 in 2020 along with the Android 12 in 2021. The devices will continue to receive software upgrades by then as well.

On the other hand Google is aware that smartphone lovers are currently looking forward for a budget pixel to be launched after a few leaks have hinted that a $399 Pixel 4a could be out any time. The expected Pixel 4a is a successor to 2019’s cheaper Pixel 3a. However, it is still not clear as to when the search engine will be launching the budget phone. Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak a number of events were cancelled as a measure to stop the spread of the virus.
