Apple launches its new cheaper iPhone SE

Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, Cupertino based tech giant Apple has launched a cheaper iPhone model on April 15, 2020. This is the first tie when an Apple iPhone has been launched without a glamorous event as many of the countries are under mandatory lockdown due to the pandemic. The second generation iPhone SE has got its name from its earlier version with the same name that was launched in 2016. The new second generation iPhone SE price begins from $399 and the pre-orders will begin from April 17, 2020. The device will arrive by April 24, 2020.

This is surely a tough time for Apple as the phone has been launched amidst a time when millions of people have lost their jobs and Apple is facing a severe production delay as the manufacturing units in China have not fully recovered. It was in the month of February, when Apple had warned about the crisis that it might face during the second quarter. It had then also mentioned about the weak demand in China due to the spread of the coronavirus and low iPhone supplies.

Despite the current circumstances and the recent launch, it seems like Apple is confident enough that it will be able to handle the demand for its new iPhone SE. The new device has the same components that are found in the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro. Most of the Apple stores are closed at present which means that people might not be able to try it in person before they could buy it.

But for those who are interested, the new iPhone SE looks just like the iPhone 8, but is a much better device than the iPhone 8, which will now be discontinued. Talking about the camera, it has improved camera quality with HDR and portrait mode. HDR mode gives better clarity pictures. It is also a great phone for those who do not want to spend thousands of dollars on the expensive iPhones.
