chrome

Chrome is one of the most popular browsers across the globe. The browser has now received a new update which is gig to make things easier for the internet users. Many people need to open a number of tabs on their browser and not all the tabs are related to each other. The tabs are kept open because the users might want to use them at a point of time but often they might have a tough time to find the tab that they need. Chrome has come out with a solution for this problem and has launched a grouping option. The new feature is so handy that it will help people to be far more organized than before.

Google calls it as the Tab Group and going by its name it does exactly what it says. Such an issue arises when you are working on multiple projects or ideas at the same time and there might be a number of tabs on your browser. The Tab Group will help you to organize the tabs in groups so the related ones stay together and it becomes easy to find them when the users need. The related tabs stay together and the unrelated ones are kept separately and the confusion is thus reduced.

To be able to use this new feature, the Chrome user should run Chrome 81 and you have to right click on a tab and click on ‘add to new group’ option. The tab that has been selected will change its color and will help you to identify the group in future as well. The users also have the liberty to add more tabs to the group that has been created by you by just dragging and dropping them in to its place.

For enable the feature, you need to visit chrome://flags/#tab-groups and in the Tab Group menu select ‘Enabled’ and then relaunch the browser. You can also change the color that is used to differentiate the group.
