Honor 50 smartphone can now be purchased outside Chinese market

Huawei has faced the grunt of the US entity list after it was banned from using any of the technology from the US based companies. Honor was a popular sub-brand of Huawei, which was also affected due to the ban. The lack of Google apps affected the popularity of the Honor phones. But then Huawei took the decision to sell off the Honor name and under the new ownership, the manufacturer recently launched the Honor 50.

Thankfully, the device works in the West well and has Google apps and services. This means that the users can get a chance to buy an Honor phone outside China. Talking about the new Honor 50, the smartphone looks very similar to the Huawei Nova 9 that was launched recently. Some of the specifications of the device include a 108 MP Camera sensor, Snapdragon 778G CPU along with an odd rear camera set up. There isn’t much different in the design and the specifications of the Honor 50 and the Nova 9.

The above details have indicated that Huawei and Honor might have been separated, but continue to share research and development. But the detail that is catching everyone’s attention is the fact that the device now uses Google apps. Although Huawei did not stop selling its smartphones across the globe, but the absence of the Google services had taken away its charm. Huawei did try to provide replacements with the Huawei App Gallery and Huawei Mobile Services but that failed to appeal a number of gadget users.

The Honor 50 is now available in Germany, United Kingdom and France and retails at 529 Euros for the 6GB of RAM and 128GB Storage. While the 8 GB Ram version of the device will be priced at 599 euros. The Honor 50 is not Huawei, but it is surely the closest that a gadget enthusiast can get to a Huawei phone due to its similarities and the fact that it run Google apps.
