There has been some talk in media circles about the latest update from Microsoft to its Windows 8 platform. Finally on March 26, 2013, the software company confirmed that Windows Blue is being worked upon. Windows Blue is set to enhance the touch-screen interface of various hand-held devices. This could potentially mean that the company is venturing away from the desktop model on which it acquired its success so far.
There has not been much information available about the launch of Blue in tech circles, but there are various events coming up for which Microsoft will have to break its silence. The information about the new update named Blue was brought by Frank X. Shaw, who is the VP for Microsoft’s corporate communications division.
In regards to the update, Shaw said, “With a remarkable foundation of products in market and a clear view of how we will evolve the company, product leaders across Microsoft are working together on plans to advance our devices and services, a set of plans referred to internally as ‘Blue'”.
Media sources say that the new update could be a move to wean people off traditional methods of computing and change the way users interact with their Windows machines.
