LG unveils new Vu 3 smartphone

South Korean manufacturing giant LG has unveiled its new Vu 3 smartphone. The latest smartphone was revealed on September 23, 2013 and it features a display with a resolution of 1,280 X 960 pixels and a 4:3 aspect ratio.

The new device runs on a 2.26 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and also has a 13-megapixel camera on the rear, as well as a 2.1-megapixel camera on the front. The Vu 3 runs on 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, which is also part of the package. LG said that the screen size of the Vu 3 surpasses the 5-inch display of the Optimus Vu 2 and the new phone is just 0.2 inches bigger than the previous model.

The specialty of the latest phone is its rubber rhodium stylus, which is very thick and sturdy. The device is expected to go on sale in Korea on September 27, 2013. So far, no information has been provided on the pricing or the availability of the new phone, but it seems like the handset will concentrate on the home region of LG, which is South Korea and later on it will be launched in other global markets.

The handset will come with unique cases, similar to those of the LG G2 smartphone.
