Mobile phone manufacturing giant ZTE USA is all set to open pre-orders of its two unlocked Android smartphones, the Grand S and the Nubia 5. The latest devices will be up for pre-orders starting from Saturday, October 5, 2013.
The Nubia 5 has been priced at $449.99 through the online shopping giant Amazon, as well as other channels, while the Grand S will be available for $399.99. The prices mentioned are for the unlocked, higher-quality smartphones and are priced more than $100 less than the majority of similar unlocked smartphones on the market.
The new devices up for pre-orders are very similar in many ways. Both the Grand S and Nubia 5 have 5-inch displays and Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processors with 1.5GHz quad-core CPU’s. Both smartphones run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and have 13-megapixel rear cameras with 2-megapixel front cameras. The devices have 16 GB of internal storage and 2 GB of memory.
However, there is one big difference between the two models and that is in their size. The Grand S is the slimmest smartphone available in the US. Internally, the biggest difference is in the battery, as the Nubia 5 features a larger one at 2,300 mAh and the Grand S comes with a 1,780 mAh battery. ZTE is an up-and-coming smartphone manufacturer which is slowly, but surely gaining popularity.
