Xbox One users facing issue with disc drive

After the exciting launch of the Xbox One, the US-based software giant Microsoft has addressed the fact that owners of the new device are experiencing problems with the disk drive. Some users have complained that the drive is making very loud noises when they attempt to insert a disc.

In addition to that, some users are complaining that the drive does not read discs at all. Microsoft has acknowledged the issue and said that a small number of users are affected by this. The US giant launched its highly anticipated device on November 22, 2013 and managed to sell more than one million units in the first 24 hours. Reports said that about 150 users of the Xbox One have contacted the gaming news website Kotaku and claimed that their new consoles are not working properly.

Some users have even uploaded videos which are showing the problem to the gaming forum NeoGAF. Microsoft released a statement which said, “The issue is affecting a very small number of Xbox One customers. We’re working directly with those affected to get a replacement console to them as soon as possible through our advance exchange programme.”

Microsoft’s Xbox One is the first new console from the company in eight years, which managed to break all previous records held by Xbox during the release day. The device went on sale in UK and 12 other countries last week.
