Mobile phone manufacturing giant Motorola previously announced that it would launch the new Moto X smartphone in the UK market on February 1, 2014, but now it seems that the phone has been launched earlier than planned.
Popular high street retailer Phones 4U has already started offering the latest phone with contract, with PAYG and SIM-free options available. The company is offering the phone in black and white colors, with a price tag of £389.95, but this does not seem like the best value for money deal. The device features a 4.7-inch HD display, 1.7 GHz dual-core processor and 2 GB of RAM.
Other features include a 10-megapixel camera and the latest Android operating system from Google – 4.4 KitKat. If you decide to purchase the Moto X, the two-year contract begins from £21 per month. In this situation and with this price tag, the Nexus 5 can be a better option for users, as it has a bigger screen and a higher resolution too. It costs £299 and other smartphones which also compete in the same price segment include the HTC One Mini and the Galaxy S4 Mini.
The Moto X is the first handset which is the result of a collaboration between Motorola and Google. In the UK market, the Moto G smartphone is the most popular one, but that was before the introduction of the Moto X.
