Taiwan-based electronics giant Asus launched its Vivo Tab Note 8 for the US market. The company’s new tablet is now available on the Microsoft Store and has a price tag of $329 for the 32 GB version. The latest device was unveiled at CES 2014, where it attracted plenty of interest from both prospective customers and tech enthusiasts.
The device comes with an 8-inch screen, runs on Windows 8.1 and features Wacom tablet digitizer technology. The Asus Vivo Tab Note 8 has an IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution, as well as a quad-core Intel Atom Z3740 Bay Trail processor which is clocked at 1.33 GHz and 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The device has a microSD card support of 64 GB of extra memory and a 5-megapixel rear camera, in addition to an HD front camera.
Connectivity options of the new Asos tablet include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and a 15.5 Whr battery, which can deliver up to eight hours of usage on a single charge. The Vivo Tab Note 8 can deliver up to 1,000 levels of pressure thanks to its Wacom digitizer support and can offer a great stylus performance.
The device also comes with many pre-loaded applications, such as Student software, Microsoft Office Home and SonicMaster audio technology.
