Nintendo to unveil Super Smash Bros on April 8, 2014

Console manufacturer Nintendo revealed on April 4, 2014 that the Super Smash Bros. will be the center of the upcoming Nintendo Direct. The game was originally announced back in 2011 and since then, the company has been informing users about the developments.

However, the company did not reveal much, except characters and included stages. The makers of the game were planning to have a 2014 launch for a long time, but the company will make the release date official during the event. Other details – which are likely to be discussed – include the single-player features, in addition to multiplayer functions.

The highly anticipated game will be unveiled on April 8, 2014 at 6 pm and game enthusiasts will be able to watch the event live online. The next version of the title will be launched with a cross-platform play on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS later in 2014. The release date of that version has not been announced yet. However, Nintendo has already unveiled some features, which include new additions and old favorites, plus 17 other characters.

The director of the game, Masahiro Sakurai said that the development team is working on cracking down on exploits which are known to users, which include ‘edge hogging’.
