A spokesperson from Walmart told CNET that starting on Thursday at 9 am local time, Walmart would be selling the iPhone 5S 16GB for $79 and the iPhone 5C 16GB for 97 cents, opposed to $99 and $29 respectively.
The sale will only apply to phones that will be used with a 2-year contract on Verizon, AT&T, Sprint or US Cellular and will be applicable on all colors. This flash sale by mammoth retailers like Walmart has become a trend before the launch of new iPhone. Last year, the price of the iPhone 5 plunged at retailers like Walmart, Best Buy and Target, weeks before the launch of iPhone 5S and 5C.
