South Korean giant, Samsung launched its flagship Galaxy Note 8 phone more than two months back. During this period, many of the US-based carriers launched various software upgrades for the device but unfortunately, the international unlocked version was left behind with no updates. But the wait is over as Samsung is launching a heavy OTA update for the global unlocked variant.
The new update has a few changes for the software. The first update includes the Android Security patch for the month of November. The new update will help to resolve a number of security loopholes including fixes of the KRACK Wi-Fi and the BlueBorne exploits.
The new update includes a secure Wi-Fi function that has improved the performance of some of the features like Voice recorder apps, Gallery, Reminder, Calendar and others. Another error related to the DeX docking station has also been solved. The new updates were first introduced to Taiwan and going by the market, it must not take too long to spread to other markets as well.
Users who want to check can check by going to Settings – Software Update – Download updates manually. Moreover, the users have to just make sure that the phone is charged sufficiently and is connected to the Wi-Fi Network before going for the update procedure.
