The Nominations for the Steam Awards have been announced by Valve and the community voting is all set to begin from December 20, 2018. The voters will be able to cast their ballots in eight categories and those who want to catch up with the nominations they will come along with the Steam Winter Sale.
Nominations for the Game of The Year include Kingdom Come : Deliverance, Player’s Unknown Battlegrounds, Monster Hunter World, Hitman 2 and the Assasins Creed Odyssey. There is also a separate VR GOTY category which includes Beat Saber, VRChat, Skyrim VR, Fallout 4 VR and Superhot VR.
The nominations for the awards had opened last month and the voting will continue till January 3, 2019 and the winners will be announced in February 2019. The Best Developer Category is the most competent category and there are a lot of close calls among the top nominees due to which the set of nominations have been increased to ten.
