HP to launch TouchPad tablet in the month of June

Gadget Herald: HP is all set to launch the TouchPad tablet in the month of June this year, this is one of the most awaited tablet PC’s from the company. Reports show the TouchPad is running on WebOS operating system, which was purchased by the company last year. The CEO of the company Leo Apotheker has confirmed the device shall be launched during the month of June.

According to Apotheker, the device will provide a completely new experience to the user, especially with the latest WebOS operating system. Speaking about the WebOS, the company is looking forward to launch computers and laptops running on the WebOS by the end of this year.

HP plans to sell at least 100 million TouchPad devices annually in the near future, and this does look to be a huge target. The price in accordance to the device has not yet been finalized, but experts state the device shall cost around $699 in the US market.
