Music streaming service YouTube Music is bring some good features for its users. The service is making it easy for the users to keep listening to their favourite tracks even when they are away from a consistent internet connection. The app is getting a new feature known as Smart Downloads that will automatically download up to 500 songs once the users click on the ‘like’ button. The Android users with Premium subscription will be able to have the new feature.
When the feature is activated, the Smart Downloads will pick some of the user’s favourite songs and make sure that they are available to them anywhere. However, rest assured as the download will take place only when the device is connected to Wi Fi and happen overnight to save on data. The users can select how many songs they want the app to download in their settings menu.
The feature of Smart Downloads is an extension of the existing YouTube Music feature known as Offline Mixtape. When it is enabled, YouTube Music will create a mix of the songs that the users like along with the songs that fit to the taste profile. It will download the songs to the phone so the subscribers can listen to it without being connected to the internet.
The feature is still available with Smart Downloads so the users can continue to get their mix of music discovery with success to the favourite jams while being offline.
