Mario Kart Tour to be launched on Android and iOS on September 25

The Mario Kart Tour, is the next mobile game by Nintendo and will be available on iOS and Android devices starting from September 25, 2019. The launch date was revealed by the official Twitter account and the company also shared the pre—registration link where the users of both the platforms can sign up to get the game when it is launched.

The mobile version of the immensely popular cart racing franchise was first announced in 2018 and at that time it had launched a launch window of sometime before the end of March 2019. The company later updated that date to sometime during this summer so as to improve the quality of the application and expand the content offerings after launch. Earlier this year, Nintendo also released Dr. Mario World, which means that it has been a busy year for the company in terms of launching mobile adaptations of its popular franchises.

The game Mario Kart Tour had a closed beta in Japan and the US which was Android only earlier in 2019. The details from the beta includes a look at the rather expansive roster along with a lot of in-game purchases mechanics that might frustrate the fans of the main series.

Mario Kart Tour will be launched in 163 territories and covers about the same roster of availability as Super Mario Run.
