Symbian Anna launched for latest Nokia phones

Gadget Herald: In some good news for those who own the latest Nokia phones, the Symbian Anna has been launched. Users can now update their phones with the new Symbian Anna provided that their operators permit it.

The launch of the Anna was announced in the month of April and was available to the developers for a while. But now the Symbian Anna can be installed on the N8, C6 – 01, C7 and E7 handsets.

The new Symbian Anna has a faster browser, a portrait keyboard, improved mapping app as well as a split screen view. The users who want to upgrade to the latest models by using the Ovi Suite on the subsidized handsets, might have to wait for a little longer.

Mobile manufacturing giant Nokia has assured that in the next 12 months they would be launching 10 more Symbian Anna Handsets. However, no claims have been made that the phones would be coming from Nokia. Nokia is committed to the new platform at least till 2016. Moreover, the next version of the Symbian which is known as the Belle is also doing the rounds of the internet. The new Symbian Anna also well integrates with the Microsoft Communicator mobile phone
