Samsung launches Galaxy Z Fold 2 its first 5G compatible foldable device

South Korean giant Samsung has come up with its third device of its new smartphone from the foldable segment. The company has unveiled its new foldable device known as the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G. Going by the name, it becomes the first Galaxy foldable phone to be 5G compatible. The new device has been launched after the company has suffered a failed launch of its first foldable device that was planned in April, 2019.

The first foldable device by Samsung Galaxy had to be taken back after the reviewers had criticized the smartphone severely calling it extremely delicate and an impractical device and overly priced. The device actually experienced cracks and breakage in just a few days of its usage and problems regarding its display were also reported. Some of the reviewers had also termed it as unusable and soon the company started working on the second foldable device and started to improve on drawbacks that were found on the first foldable device.

Soon Samsung accidentally uploaded the new device price on its website and was leaked even before the actual launch. The second device was priced at £1,799 for the customers in the United Kingdom which meant that it was once again expensive and meant for the premium segment. At such a price, the specifications could be compared to some of the laptops with 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage along with a 4,500mAh battery, which Samsung calls as all-day battery.

The company revealed its new premium Note 20 with the new S7 tablet, the Galaxy Watch 3 and the redesigned Galaxy Buds in the month of August. The new 5G connection speed in the new foldable device will be good for the gamers as it will save them from latency problems which is a frequent problem that is experienced by the online gamers. The device also uses the Wi-Fi 6 that maintains the speed despite the situation that the bandwidth is being pulled by other devices at home.
