South Korean giant LG is all set to launch its unique smartphone for its foldable phone segment. It is not just foldable, but uniquely foldable that is called as Wing. LG has just confirmed the name of the upcoming device that was rumoured so far and is all set to be launched on September 14, 2020. The Wing will be launched as a part of the company’s Explorer Project. The new project by LG is an attempt by the company to find new ways to make the best use of a mobile phone.
Reports say that the company had recently decided on two names which are the LG Wing and the LG Swing. It then confirmed that it would call it the Wing. The new smartphone surely has a new and unique design and LG is excited to launch the new smartphone under a completely new category. Gadget enthusiasts can look forward towards the new smartphone category that will offer a distinct as well as a new usability experience.
The company has not yet announced any more details about the upcoming smartphone but everything might be clear at the event to be held at September 14, 2020. It will be a virtual event that will be streamed live at the official YouTube channel and its Facebook page. To get a rough idea about the Wing, it has a dual display as the pictures suggest. The secondary screen is placed to look like wings in a T shape, which makes the name more valid. So the upcoming Wing might be easy to be mounted on a phone holder in a car.
The next screen is placed in a horizontal position behind the actual display. LG had earlier shared a teaser that had showed the rotating display of the Wing. There are possibilities that it might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC that can have the triple rear cameras.
