Instagram now allows to go live for four hours

Photo sharing site Instagram is now looking forward to make improvements towards its live video experience. The company has launched a number of small changes that will allow the users to stream easily and even saving those videos will become easier. Now the Instagram users will be able to go live for up to four hours. Earlier there was a time limit of just one hour for broadcasts. The new time frame for broadcasts will be available for all the users across the globe. But it will only be available if they don’t have any history of policy or IP violations.

There is more as the users will also be able to see their own live streams in their private archive like the Posts and Stories but only up to 30 days from the day they went on air. At the same time, the users will also have the option to download their content so it can be posted at other platforms as well. The photo sharing platform is also launching the much waited feature Live Now to IGTV so people can find content and watch it live at that moment.

With the launch of the new features, it can be clearly seen that the platform is focusing on live-streaming as the format continues to be popular due to the coronavirus pandemic. While talking about the changes, Instagram has boasted that it will give the fitness instructors extra time for training their clients online. It has been found that people are now preferring to live-stream everything for anything that they did in person that includes shopping. So now Instagram is giving more time to do that.

Instagram also hopes that the new feature will allow the users to remain more time on the app, especially during the coronavirus pandemic, when people are more relying on virtual chats and meetings. Although there are a number of other platforms for people to select, but Instagram is now looking forward to be competitive.
