Huawei ready to launch Nova 9 in global market

Tech giant Huawei is all set to globally launch its Nova 9 smartphone. The smartphone was launched by the Chinese company in the local market nearly a month back and is now gearing up for a global launch. The company has called the Nova 9 as the flagship smartphone for the younger generation and has compared it to its Mate Series and the P-Series. The pre-orders of the Nova 9 has started from October 21, 2021 and Huawei has assured that the phone is all set to go on sale from November 2, 2021.

Apart from the Nova 9, the company has also given an update on the release status of its flagship phone P50 that was announced for the domestic Chinese market in the month of July, 2021. Huawei has assured that the P50 will have a global launch in 2022. Its predecessor P40 was launched nearly two years back. AS Huawei continues to be in the entity list of the United States, the Nova 9 will also be shipped without the apps and services of Google including the Google Play Store. This means that the appeal of the handset till significantly go down outside China. This could also be the reason why other Huawei handsets were not launched outside China.

The Nova 9 runs on Huawei’s own Harmony OS that has a number of similarities with the open-source version of Android. The Google version is replace by the apps and services of Huawei. Talking about the features, the Nova 9 is powered by the Snapdragon 778G instead of the Kirin chips by Huawei. The decision was taken after the Chinese giant faced issues with the production of Kirin.

The device has four rear cameras and a 32 megapixel front camera in a hole-punch notch. It has a 4,300 mAh battery that can be fast charged at 66W. Huawei has claimed that the battery could be refilled in 38 minutes. There is no mention of 5G support.
