Samsung with best Buy to provide same-day repair service

South Korean giant Samsung is joining hands with consumer electronics retailer Best Buy. The partnership will provide authorized repair and troubleshooting services for the owners of Galaxy smartphones across the United States. The official announcement was made by Samsung on October 25, 2021 that it would be turning more than 100 Best Buy locations to Authorized Care Service Centres. From October 26, 2021 people who own any of the Galaxy S or the Note series smartphones can get support for their respective devices from the Geek Squad Agents that have been certified by Samsung.

The users will be able to take services that include any kind of repair work that can include the front and back glass cameras, batteries, ports and others. The company has assured that only authorized technicians will be making use of Samsung parts. The service part is not new for Samsung as it already offers, at-home, mail-in and walk-in services for its smartphones and the carrier offers the services at more than 550 locations and more than 600 independent services providers across the nation.

With a name like Best Buy associated with the devices, it would be easier for the users to have access to the services across the United States. The good news is that Samsung will be extending its service to its best foldable devices including the recently launched Galaxy Fold 3. The recent announcement will also help to ease the worries of some of the user who are concerned about durability, especially considering the cost repair of such devices and at a time when the company has discontinued its Z Premier service.

The oldest devices that Samsung would support with its repair service include some of the older phones like the Galaxy S8 and the Note 8. Majority of these phones would be eligible for same-day repair, but that will not include the foldable ones. The foldable devices are considered as delicate and Samsung does not seem to take any chance in service for its flagship devices.
