The Motorola Razr was launched in 2019 when just a few foldables had made it to the market. The Razr was one of the promising smartphones as Motorola was no new to foldables and gave the users nostalgia feel in a good sense. But still the smartphone did have a few drawbacks that included the pricing that was too high.
The company did not give up and launched the Motorola Razr 5G in 2020 which offered very little in terms of improvements that left the fans disappointed as they were expecting a little more. Some of the recent reports have claimed that the company is now looking forward to launch a successor that it has been working since long. The upcoming device is called as the Razr 3 and a few leaks have indicated that Motorola has indeed a few big plans. The leaks have suggested that the new Razr will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Android 12.
If the leaks turn out to be true then the Razr 3 will be the first in its franchise to have a flagship-level chipset on board. Talking about the versions the upcoming series would come in 6,8 or 12 GB of RAM along with 128, 256 and 512GB of internal storage. More reports have said that the notch will be smaller or will have a centered punch hole. There are also leaks that mention that the screen would be a full HD AMOLED with support for a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Talking about more features, the Razr 3 could come with NFC but the more interesting fact is that the device could come with an ultra-wide band support also known as UWB. The support for UWB opens a wide range of possibilities from a phone that includes unlocking the car. One of the smartphones that also has this feature is the Pixel 6 Pro. With the above details it seems like Motorola is all set to get in to some competition.
