Things not many know that Google could do

Search engine giant Google has been around since years and has also evolved to provide the most promising and accurate results for the users. The phrase ‘Google it’ speaks volumes about the success of its reach, regardless of the platform a user selects for any search. Google has a number of useful tools for the convenience of the users and there are still a number of secrets that not many users are aware of. Here we will be unleashing some of the interesting abilities of Google that many might not be aware of.

1. Identifying malware -People who use Chrome browser, might sometimes notice that the performance might be a little sluggish or the users might have accidentally clicked on a few suspicious links. But rest assured, as Google has its own malware scanner that can be used by the users to get rid of any unwanted malware that could be sneaking in to the system.

2. Helps to find cheaper flights – This might not be a very hidden feature of Google but it is indeed not used very frequently in presence of a number of third party websites. Instead of depending on the sites like Kaya, Expedia and others the users can simply click on the Explore tab and click on Google Flights. Enter the origin city and leave the destination blank and then select from the boxes that display returning and leaving dates. The results from this search will provide you the cheapest options to a number of destinations.

3. Reverse image search – People who are looking for more information about an uncredited image can find more details on Google Images. The user can select the camera icon with two options – 1. search using an URL of an image and 2. Directly upload an image to search from your system.

4. Makes you nostalgic – While this feature is practically of not much use, but it will surely take the users on a nostalgic ride. Just type ‘Google in 1998’ and instead of loading a fresh page, the whole window will transform in to how the front page of Google looked back then. The page gets back to normal when the user clicks on any link.
