Photo sharing site Instagram has been testing a new feature since the past few months and is now ready to roll out. The social media site has officially launched a new feature that will allow the users to pin posts on their profile. It will be a good option as it will be helpful for the IG profile display. Talking about the new feature, the users will now be able to find a new ‘Pin To Your Profile’ option after the user clicks on the three dots function menu found on the top right of any post.
Instagram has explained that by clicking on the option, it will help the profile to remain at the top of the profile grid while giving the creators more flexibility so they can express on their respective profiles. The feature has been launched on June 7, 2022 and will be available for the all the users globally. Another interesting fact about the new feature is that it will allow the users to pin posts as well as Reels. This will allow the flow of creativity across the platform and will also help the users to maximize the appeal of the Instagram profile display. This is more useful for the visitors who come across the profile of the user.
Instagram has been testing the feature since the month of April, 2022 and was also testing other profile display customization options. It also included the feature that allowed to re-arrange the complete post display on the profile grid. However, that feature is not available yet. But Adam Mosseri the chief of Instagram has assured that it is looking for more ways to give the creators a control of their profile display.
To begin with the users will have the option to pin three posts or Reels in the respective tabs. This surely marks a fresh new feature for Instagram users with more elements in the IG profile display.
