China’s HTC To Launch Its First Tablet ‘Flyer’ In The Month Of March

Gadget Herald: China’s electronics and technology giant, HTC will launch its first tablet ‘Flyer’ in the month of March this year. The shipment of this tablet to the US will begin in the month of March, and the company hopes it will perform well in the American market.

The Flyer is the first attempt to launch a tablet PC into the market by HTC, as it has specialized in manufacturing cellphones and smartphones. As per the analysts, the Flyer will be an enlarged version of the HTC Desire smartphone and will be built on its layout.

According to the company, this tablet will run on the Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, which will also enhance the features and usage of this device. Users will also have an option to upgrade this OS to the Android Honeycomb 3.0 which is specifically built for the tablets and notebooks. The Flyer should be available in the global market by the second quarter of 2011.
