Sony Ericsson Launches Xperia Arc Android 2.3 Smartphone

Gadget Herald: Sony Ericsson of Japan, has launched the Xperia Arc Android 2.3 smartphone in the global market. The Xperia Arc is the latest Android smartphone to be launched by the company after Xperia X10, X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro phones. The latest model launched is a sensational phone and is slightly curved from the rear.

It is quite thin compared to the Xperia series, as it measures only 8.7mm, and it is running on the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. It is a 3G HSPA phone and runs on a 800/850/1900MHz bands in the US. The company has not mentioned when the phone will be launched in the US, or when will it arrive in the market.

It is running on a 1Ghz Qualcomm processor, DLNA certification, Wi-Fi, assisted GPS, 512MB RAM and can support 32GB of micro SD memory. The phone has an 8.1 megapixel camera and which also gets enhanced by the Sony Bravia display engine. This phone should do quite well in the US market, as it has one of the best features as per its category.
