Samsung unveils a portable projector at CES 2022

Tech giant Samsung unveiled its ultraportable smart TV protector at the CES 2022. The new protector by Samsung has been named as The Freestyle that weighs under 2 pounds and comes with a 180 degree cradle stand so it could protect content to the walls or screens from 30 to 100 inches and offers 550 lumens of brightness. Some of the features of the projector includes 1080p resolution with auto-focus and auto-leveling capabilities that helps to automatically align the image on any surface.

Another feature of the device is that it can also play music with a 360 degree sound. The best part is that it also provides access to the smart TV platform of Samsung which means that the users of the projector will also be able to stream Netflix and can project it anywhere that they like. The device has been priced at $899 in the United States and is now available for pre-orders from the Samsung website. Apart from the projector itself, the company is also offering a number of accessories that would enhance the user experience. There would be lens caps that can help to create mood lighting, a waterproof case for outdoor experience along with a USB-C portable battery for an outlet-free projecting.

The accessories also includes a light bulb socket so the user can screw in the projector . Talking about the portable projectors in general, they look great as they are compact, but come with their own drawbacks. The light emitted by the projector is comparatively dim to the standard TVs or even the traditional home theatre projectors. They also do not have an impressive image quality possibility not even up to 1080p. The device is indeed portable, but they might still have to be plugged in.

Samsung is yet to announce about the pricing and availability of the accessories that it is offering and it includes the battery filled base especially designed for the device.
