Google to launch Chromecast in UK market

Search engine giant Google said that it will be launching the Chromecast Dongle in the UK after it sent out several indications. The Chromecast app has been updated in recent times and is made available in 50 new languages and has suggested that an international rollout is expected.

The update also has a better support for music, video and photo apps. The Android police has found references to the TV Offers and 5 GHz Wi Fi support after digging around in the code. Moreover the HDMI dongle is expected to be coming to more countries in the upcoming weeks by Google’s Sundar Pichai at SXSW Interactive.

But then a picture was leaked which had shown several Chromecast dongles in display package which is ready to hit the UK shelves. This added speculation that the dongle might soon be launched in the UK market. SO far no official release date has been announced but Google Chromecast will make any TV Smart by connecting through a HDMI port.

This has also indicated that the it will be competing with other options like Roku and Apple TV and supports Netflix and YouTube with Macs, PCs, Android and iOS. The Chromecast by Google will cost $35 in the US but the price in the UK has not been announced.
