A number of people are recently tuning to the digital platforms due to nationwide lockdowns across the globe amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Netflix is one of the popular digital platforms among the users and it can be very irritating for the regular watcher to accidentally tap on a button that messes up with the playback while watching a film or a series. But now a new feature is being rolled out for the Android devices that will prevent such accidents. The new feature will allow the Android users to avoid accidental clicks or touches when they are using the NetFlix mobile app. It is a screen lock feature and will appear at the bottom of the screen after the users begin to watch a show or a film.

When the screen lock is enabled by the viewer, the other button prompts like play/pause will stop appearing. Such a feature will also prevent the users from accidentally playback or enabling subtitles. The users can also disable the feature by taping on the screen and the unlock the prompt will only appear after taping the screen twice. On the other hand the Android swiping gestures for instance, swiping to go back, continue to work as usual, which means that the new feature is not completely effective.

But it is surely good for those who move around a lot when they are watching or there are kids who are handling the device. The usage of Netflix has increased in recent times as many people are forced to stay at home during the lockdowns implemented by many governments across the globe.

While some people are working from home, other people are inclined towards the digital platforms and Netflix is one of the most popular ones among the users. The world has come to stand still due to the coronavirus pandemic and even after the lockdowns end, such platforms are going to flourish.
