Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi has launched its Mi 9 flagship smartphone at an event in China. However, gadget enthusiasts across the globe will not be able to have their hands on the flagship phone any time soon.

The Mi 9 comes with a 6.39 inch display with an in-screen fingerprint sensor and the notch and bezels are tiny. The company says that the screen-to-body ratio is more than 90 percent and judging by the official images it seems pretty accurate. The actual dimensions of the device are not known but one of the interesting feature is the flat back which means that it will be a different feel to hold the Mi 9 when compared to other devices.

One of the most impressive selling points of the Mi 9 is the three-camera set-up which has a 48 mega pixel main camera, 12 megapixel telephoto lens and a 16 Megapixel ultra-wide lens. The company will be focusing on talking about the Moon Mode of the device which allows to capture of subjects at a long distance including the moon without the loss of the quality. Apart from the three cameras, there is a selfie camera which has a 20 megapixel resolution which is good enough to catch every detail on the selfie images.

The Mi 9 is powered by a 3,300 mAh battery which is quite a standard size for a flagship phone but the Mi 9’s 20W wireless charging is the fastest that the users can get currently. Samsung and Huawei are still using 15W. The device has 855 chipset which has made it the first device to launch using the processor. It also has a Game Turbo mode a setting that is designed for playing games which improves performance and frame rate.
