Pokemon Go to take back its Apple Watch support

Pokemon Go is surely one of the most popular games in the market. But one of the App’s supported devices will soon be taken back. The game support on the popular Apple watch will be taken back. This means that trainers who like to keep a watch on the Pokedex journey with the help of their Apple Watch will no longer be able to use the device from July, 1, 2019.

However, there are still many options that remain at the disposal of the gamers. There are many accessories that do similar things to the Apple Watch, and the gamers can always use their smartphones. But taking back of the support surely comes as a bad news for many. Niantic issued a brief statement which wrote, “Pokémon GO is officially ending support for Apple Watch devices. Trainers using Apple Watch will no longer be able to connect their Apple Watch to Pokémon GO after July 1, 2019. Because Adventure Sync allows Trainers the option of tracking their steps, earning Buddy Candy, and hatching Eggs in one mobile device rather than 2 separate devices, we want to focus on building Adventure Sync so that Trainers will no longer have to split their gameplay between 2 devices.”

The support for the Apple Watch appears to be coming to an end and this has happened due to the game’s Adventure Sync feature that allows the players to sync fitness apps on their phones to Pokemon Go and track their walking distance. Pokemon Go is a reality mobile game that was developed and published by Niantic for the Android as well as iOS devices.

It was first released in some of the countries in July, 2016 and then rolled over in other regions in the next few months. The game was made as a part of the collaboration between Niantic and Nintendo through The Pokemon Company.
