During the launch of the Pixel 4a by Google in August, 2020, the Pixel 5 and the Pixel 4a 5G were also unveiled. But now the two handsets are all set to be officially launched very soon. Some of the reports have claimed that the handsets could be launching by September 30, 2020. Some more filings by the FAA had claimed that there could be a number of variants of the Pixel 5 and the Pixel 4a 5G.
This has also indicated that the launch is surely happening. More reports have claimed that the Pixel 5 will be offering separate variants for both the Sub-6 along with mmWave 5G bands. The benefit of mmWave is that it offers a faster downlink speeds more than the 5G bands which are Sub-6. That is done at the expense of a geographical coverage. This has also led to the speculations that the carrier and the region will help to determine which version of the smartphone will be required or the user will receive.
Talking about the Pixel 4a 5G, it appears that the handset will only be able to support for the slower sub-6 bands which seems reasonable provided that the smartphone has been priced at $599. Both the upcoming devices are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset which has powered some of the number of mid-range handsets including the Motorola Edge Plus and the LG Velvet. This has also hinted that the search engine giant intends to keep the prices of the upcoming smartphones towards the lower side.
On the other hand Samsung has some pricey handsets for the users, including its Galaxy Note 20 Ultra which is going to be pretty expensive. For more information, one has to wait till the official launch of the Pixel 5 and the Pixel 4a 5G when the gadget lovers will come to know what the company has in store in terms of specifications.
