The smartphone competition seems to be running on another level now. LG is ready to unveil its strange looking smartphone, very likely to fit in the foldable phone segment. It has a Wing rotating dual screen which is all set to be launched on September 14, 2020. The LG Wing will fit in to the mid-range segment and looks a better version of the Surface Duo by Microsoft.
LG has launched an official video of the new smartphone and has confirmed that it will be launching on September 14, 2020. However, the video has not revealed the complete look of the smartphone but has teased the look and has a rotating screen design like it has been shown in some of the previous leaks. Going by the design, the LG Wing has technically got two smartphones placed on one another while one of them can be rotated to 90 degrees that will look like a strange looking T-design dual-screen system.
The actual display is of 6.8 inches with the secondary display that would be around 4 inches. There are foldable phones in the market that have a bigger internal screen and smaller external screen for a view from outside and such a design seems practical. But LG has thought of a design that is out of the box and seems more like a dual screen devices with two actual smartphones. Going by the videos of the LG Wing, it can be seen that how the design can actually be used in a practical way to control music system that can be mounted above the dashboard of the car.
The vertical screen can give the navigation information and the horizontal screen works as a secondary screen or would be a ‘wing’ that provides a suit of controls for the music. The specifications are mid-range and is enough to make it acceptable for 5G connectivity. It is expected to have a 64 MP primary camera.
