WhatsApp has never been behind when it comes to improve the user experience. Once again the company is all set to introduce another new feature that would help users know people’s opinions collectively. WhatsApp is soon introducing a new feature that would allow the users to set up a poll. The feature is useful in situations when people in a group would like to know about their opinions. For Instance, it could be useful for friends who are planning to go on a trip and would like to take a poll over a bunch of suggestions.
WhatsApp is reportedly working on such a feature that will allow the users to create polls in group chats. The feature was first noticed at WABetaInfo which is the latest beta version of the service for iOS version 22.6.0.70. It allows the users to make polls in group chats. When the user attempts to create a poll, the app asks the user to enter a question and then they would be asked to enter a few answers to vote. The report that has been showed in the beta app, has suggested that only the group members would be allowed to see the polls and results .
For now the beta testing is noticed in the iOS app, but it is expected that it would also soon be launched for the Android uses as well. Despite the testing going on full swing, the users might have to wait for some time before the feature goes online. It is still in the developing stage and might need a few improvements before it is pitted to the users.
Apart from the polls, WhatsApp is also planning for a number of other features and updates that includes a pause and resume function for message reactions, voice messages and addition of a search shortcut. For now some of the features are available for the on the beta version of the app, but to use that the users will have to join the testing program on PlayStore.
