Huawei to launch new smartphone with 7 inch screen

Chinese telecommunications equipment Huawei is all set to introduce a new phone in the Honor Note series. The upcoming phone will have the biggest screen in the series and will be just a touch under seven inches. There was a time when a smartphone with such a screen with such a size was considered to be a tablet or a phablet.

However, the Huawei Note 10 is not the first phone to cross the 7 inch mark and is also not the first phone from Huawei to have such a huge screen. The news of the upcoming phone with such a large screen has also indicated that smartphones are never going to stop growing, especially in an era when the phone manufacturers are looking forward to slim down their devices as they occupy less space.

The upcoming device will either come with 6 GB or 8 GB RAM with a Kirin 970 processor and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. The huge AMOLED screen will have a 1080 X 2220 resolution and the entire device will run o9n Android Oreo with the EMUI skin by Huawei on top. The only drawback is that it lacks a headphone jack but the good thing is that it has a huge 5,000 mAh battery to match with the extra large screen. The earlier model of the Note 10 and the Note 8 was launched in 2016 and had a 6.6 inch display which means that there is a significant increase in size.

The company has earlier used the 7 inch display on the MediaPad X2 in 2015. Even Lenovo had touched the 7 inch mark in the same year with its Phab. In 2013, Asus had launched the 7 inch FonePad that is still called a tablet. The Honor Note 10 is launching in China while the entry level model starts from $410 USD. The Honor Note series is yet to enter the US market.
