The new generation Motorola Razr 2 is one of the much awaited devices in the new foldable smartphone segment. The device was showed off in 2019, but unfortunately the device left many disappointed due to three main flaws. The first one is the obvious exorbitant pricing the second is the not so impressive specifications for the price and the last is its competition the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. The reimagined Motorola Razr is based on the nostalgia related to it, but this time the company is all set to get back with a bang.
Motorola is hosting a virtual smartphone event on September 9, 2020 and here the company is expected to unveil its 2020 Motorola Razr or the Razr 2. Press invitations have been sent out and going by the hints it appears like a folding device and is once again accompanied by the ‘flip the smartphone experience’. This has hinted that there was surely some scope for improvement and the new smartphone is expected to be an answer for all the flaws that existed in the earlier version. Unfortunately there were a number of flaws that existed in the earlier foldable Razr.
The device was priced exorbitantly, about 50 percent higher than other premium flagships in the same segment. Another turn down was its mid-range Snapdragon 710 chipset. For the Razr 2 it is expected that there will be at least an update to Snapdragon 765G that is also found on the Motorola Edge. However, the Galaxy Z smartphone by Samsung is powered by the Snapdragon 855+ chipset, but such expectations cannot be kept with the Razr 2.
The Razr 2 is also expected to have more storage that the previous 128GB. It is also expected that the new device would have an upgrade from the 2,510 mAh battery found on the 2019 version. Moreover, you can also expect a better camera compared to the disappointing 16MP primary camera.
