Not everyone knows that the world’s first foldable smartphone was launched by not Samsung but Royole. While Samsung took its time to launch its Galaxy Fold, it was Royole that was in a hurry to launch its own Flex Pai and claimed the title of launching the first foldable smartphone in the world. The company surely seemed like it was in a hurry to grab the attention and the market. For the unversed, Royole existed for many years and is known for developing the flexible screen technology.
So that made it obvious, why it was in a hurry to come up with its foldable smartphone before Samsung did. But sadly, Flex Pai was not able to grab the market and that did not stop Royole from being ambitious. Now the Flex Pai 2 is here and to everyone’s surprise it is actually good. People who have actually tried to get their hands on the device have claimed that the new model is a much better version of the earlier one.
Fine detailed improvements have been made to the design, something that Samsung need not to worry about. But that is not all. Royole is not just another consumer electronics company in the market but has partnerships with a number of brands to whom it provides flexible displays and sensor technology. The companies include Toyota, AirBus and Louis Vuitton. The representative from Royole said that it is pleased with the performance of the Flex Pai in the Chinese market so far but has refused to reveal any sales figures. The Flex Pai 2 is nearl7b $500 cheaper than the Galaxy Fold 2 by Samsung.
Royole has also said that it will soon announce about its plans to go global with its products in 2021. The review of the smartphone is still not clear as the device has been loaded with Chinese software. But the hardware is pretty impressive than it was expected.
